10th In The US Multioperator!

Well, the results are in.  Rocky Mountain Ham Radio came in 10th in the nation, multioperator for the 2012 June VHF QSO Party.  Not too bad for a bunch of folks west of the Mississippi.    As you know, it’s a numbers thing.  Being out here in the west, the population density is not such that we can really win the contest, but we do everything we can do to make every contact we can make.

This year the contest results look like this:

# Call Score QSOs Mult
1 W2SZ 1,638,400 2,172 512
2 K8GP 1,036,917 1,671 453
3 W3CCX 687,354 1,395 327
4 K5QE 543,996 1,130 414
5 N6VI 509,922 1,188 213
6 K9CT 380,952 1,007 333
7 K3YTL 341,598 1,001 289
8 KB0HH 309,396 1,023 276
9 VE3WCC 278,496 757 288
10 W0KVA 253,946 1,021 238

You should note that we’re in the list with some very powerful contesters.  Give yourselves a pat on the back for doing so well!

Special thanks to: K0JLA, K2AD, AB0SF, W0KU, W0VG, K0IME, K0PWO, K0RM, N0OEM, K0LNC, N0VBY, W0GV for giving up their weekend to build this station and bring us to another fantastic conclusion.

If you have any interest in joining the group next year, please make sure you let some of the team know.  Space is very limited and there are only a few left.
