Rocky Mountain Ham Radio, New Mexico hosted the 2018 TAPR Digital Communications Conference (DCC) in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the Sheraton Albuquerque Airport Hotel on September 14-16. DCC is an annual conference, attended by hams across the United States and world, that highlights digital communications technologies, techniques, and capabilities currently being utilized within amateur radio or under development.  RMHR-NM attracted DCC to New Mexico for the first time in the conference’s 37 year history, in part because of its experience conducting the annual New Mexico TechFest.

The weekend was filled with introductory and technical presentations, demonstrations, meals with speakers, prizes, and opportunities to establish or build relationships with some of amateur radio’s notable technical innovators.  Special thanks to Rick AE5JI, Ron NR5ON, Erik KE5ZBG, Pat W5RMY, and Brian N5ZGT for the logistical and on-site support!
