logoMay 17, 2014 Rocky Mountain Ham Radio assisted the organizers of the 3cbikeride.com in pulling off a great early season 100 mile bike ride starting and ending in Broomfield, CO and traveling along many country roads to Johnstown, CO.  Many RMHAM members gave their Saturday in hopes of creating a wonderful ongoing, early season bike ride for the front range.

We provided health and safety communications as well as tracking first and last riders as well as providing sag services and access to emergency medical.  We deployed and used 8 APRS trackers on our Lee Hill digipeater, the communications trailer and about 20 of our club members to successfully execute a great event.

The Broomfield Rotary Club was the main organizing committee for the event and was very amazed by the tools and technology that we’re capable of.  A sincere appreciation was expressed for all of the members of the Rocky Mountain Ham Radio team that deployed to assist in this adventure!

Thank you for your time and dedication!
