Following is a report from RMHR/Southern Command:

The mailman just delivered June’s QST magazine, which contains November Sweepstakes (phone) results.  Sandia National Laboratories ARC, W5MPZ, placed first in the Rocky Mountain Division in the Multi-operator, Low Power category.  We also placed 8th nationwide (including Canada) in the Multi-operator, Low Power category (out of 65); 5th overall in New Mexico (out of 17); 15th overall in the Rocky Mountain Division (Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming…out of 70); and 320 overall nationwide (including Canada…out of 1673).  Clean Sweep, and only 20 hours of operating (out of 24 possible).

RMHR members Ed KA8JMW and Brian N5ZGT organized the operation, RMHR member Chris NB5T was his usual powerhouse contest op, and RMHR member Katelyn KA5TLN provided support for the larger team since the operation was at our QTH.

Same folks are gearing up for W5MPZ’s traditional Field Day operation in the northern New Mexico mountains.  Last year we made 1300+ QSOs with a single HF station (1A).  Looking to step up the game as 2A this year.
