The warm weather presented an impromptu opportunity for several members of Rocky Mountain Ham Radio to gather, check, and work on various RMHAM equipment for its readiness to be used. The effort involved checking rotor cables and rotors to make sure they were functioning, inventory items, recording items needed or repaired, and building an antenna. One of the interesting challenges of the day was to trace on a piece of paper a rotor cover for a pattern to replace broken one. The pattern and broken parts are to go to a RMHAM member who will 3D print a replacement. The crew had a wonderful lunch together at Maggie’s Kitchen in Mead and wrapped up the day by assembling a tri-band antenna. There will be other scheduled work parties for May and June as we look forward to preparing for ARRL Field Day activities on June 28 and 29.
