It was decidedly winter (9 degrees Fahrenheit) in the early morning on Saturday January 24 when RMHAM members joined with Longmont Amateur Radio Club (LARC) for Winter Field Day. This was a joint effort between the two clubs. LARC procured the site for the event and coordination for the activity. Several RMHAM members joined in the setup and operations for the day bringing along some radio equipment. A few people who were neither part of the field day crew or licensed amateurs did visit the site. It was a good time, even if it was a bit chilly.
Preparations continue for Winter SwapFest on February 15 at Adams County Fairgrounds. Many tables have been purchased by vendors and clubs, with a few more still available. Sponsor and Donors have been providing door prizes for the event (https://www.rmham.org/winter-swapfest-sponsors/).
