Winter SwapFest was a wonderful event!

It was a brisk morning when RHHAM members, amateur radio clubs, and vendors traveled to the Adams County Fairgrounds. Vendors set up their items for display and sale, clubs put out banners and materials, and RMHAM members proceeded with their assigned tasks. Coffee and doughnuts were available for those who might be a bit peckish. A line formed outside of the building in anticipation of the start of the event. With over 100 tables, attendees had lots of items and materials to view. The RMHAM communications trailer was being used for people wanting to make contacts using a remote HF station. EOSS had their mobile ground chase vehicle available to view and their members were there to answer questions. Thirteen people were tested by the Mile High VE Team and they all passed their amateur radio license exams! Door prizes were given away as the concession stand transition to lunch of hot dogs, hamburgers, and cheeseburgers. With the last of the door prizes given away to attendees with winning tickets the event wound down to a close, people exited to a bright, warm, sunny afternoon, returning home to enjoy the unseasonably warm winter weather.

After some rest, work on the RMHAM Summer SwapFest will begin.  We look forward to seeing everyone again in August.
