Yesterday, a very deserving ham was presented with the inaugural Colorado Ham of the Year Award—an award we hope to continue celebrating each year.

Wayne is truly the glue that holds many organizations together in Colorado and beyond. His knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and organizational management helps keep the clubs, committees, and boards around him accountable, responsible, and transparent. It’s no wonder he is sometimes affectionately known as the “Godfather.”
Wayne’s current roles include:
- ARDC Board Member
• National Radio Club BOD
• RMHAM BOD
• Colorado Council of Amateur Radio Clubs BOD
• HamCon Colorado BOD
• ARRL Colorado Section Assistant Section Manager / Club Coordinator / Assistant Section Emergency Coordinator
Beyond these roles, Wayne has helped a tremendous number of clubs get started and grow from the ground up.
Colorado’s amateur radio community, its clubs, and the Colorado Section would be a fraction of what they are today without Wayne’s willingness to dig into the details, keep things on track, and help others succeed.
