Many RMHAM members are currently participating in the W1AW/0 event taking place until June 2 at 2359Z (or 1759 MDT). Members and other active hams who apply to operate and receive approval will be operating on various frequencies and in various modes. Those who wish to apply should check out the event on the Colorado ARRL section’s scheduling page There will be another opportunity to participate in September. The dates for the event in September are the 1st through the 8th.
With Field Day one month away, preparations have begun. John, W0VG, has sent out a query to see who will be at the Field Day. There are plans to be made for the day, such getting the Quick Response Vehicles (QRVs) to the site, determining the amount of food needed for the weekend, and working on antennas. It will be an exciting time with the theme of “Amateur Radio: A National Resource” with the nation’s 250 birthday the following weekend. Members are looking forward to getting together and having a great time.
